The tale ‘We turn the caps into happiness’ of Hispano-British School, wins the contest of Metrotenerife and Clece

The Class 4A of the Hipano-British School (La Laguna) has won the third edition of the tale contest ‘El camino de Don Tapón’ with the story ‘We turn the caps into happiness’. This initiative, organized by the Island Government, through Metrotenerife and Clece aims to raise awareness the children and their families about the social and environmental importance of recycling plastic caps.

The award ceremony held through video-conferencing from Hispano-British School and attended Enrique Arriaga, Metrotenerife president; Isaac Marichal, manager of Clece; Andrés Muñoz de Dios, managing-director of Metrotenerife; and Antonio Morales, principal of the Hispano-British School, as well as, students and teacher in representation of the class winner.

Arriaga encouraged pupils to promote the reading and writing habit and highlighted this contest, that joins education, solidarity and environmental values besides take the tram as reference of sustainable transport.

The class winner received a 3D printer, diplomas of the contest, the published tale and the figure of Don Tapón, a money box made of plastic recycled and manufactured by Fundación Hogar Renacer.
