Metrotenerife increases on Monday 6th the frequency of the tram service due to the activation of the winter timetable. Thus, on working days, from Monday to Friday, trams will run every 5 minutes on Line 1 and 10 minutes on Line 2.
The first vice-president of the Island Government and president of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, pointed out that these frequencies will remain from 07:00 am to 03:00 pm. As the occupancy level in the trams is limited, according to the guidelines of the Government of the Canary Islands, Arriaga invites user to check it in real time through the app http://tranviaonline.metrotenerife.com/ . Also, he emphasized the compulsory use of the face mask in the public transport.
The island director of Mobility, José Alberto León, added that in the afternoon/night hours, the trams will operate with frequencies of 6, 12 and 15 minutes until midnight, when they end their services. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the night service will remain suspended.
