Metrotenerife, company of the Island Government, finishes its plan of special services of Christmas the day of Three Wise Men. On Wednesday 5th the Line 1 will work with double-trams every 10 minutes throughout the day and then, from 10:00 pm to 02:00 am, with a frequency of 12 minutes.
The vice president of the Island Government and president of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, points out that, according to the sanitary measures of coronavirus, the night service for the Line 1 on the Three Wise Men’s Eve will finish at 02:00 am. He also invites citizens to use the trams that run through the main shopping areas of Santa Cruz and La Laguna.
Wednesday 5th, Three Wise Men’s Eve
From early morning until 10:00 pm, the Line 1 double trams will be running every 10 minutes. The night service will have a frequency of 12 minutes and will finish at 02:00 am.
The island director of Mobility, José Alberto León, stresses that the Weyler stop will be operational on Wednesday 5th due to the cancellation of the traditional parade. Therefore, the Line 1 will run along the entire route from Intercambiador to La Trinidad stops.
Regarding Line 2, it will have frequencies of 10, 12 and 15 minutes, mainly, and will finish its service at midnight.
Thursday 6th, Three Wise Men Day
From 08:00 am, the tram service will work on Thursday 6th with simple units and frequencies of public holiday, 12 minutes on Line 1 and 15 on Line 2, at peak times.
