Metrotenerife increases its transport offer at New Year’s Eve (Thursday 31st) with double-trams every 10 minutes. This frequency will maintain throughout the day until the end of the service (2:00 pm). The passengers can inform about these services on the web, external link www.metrotenerife.com, and on social networks, Facebook and Twitter (@tranviatenerife). Also, they can check in real time the percent occupancy in every tram with the apps TranviaOnline (external link, http://tranviaonline.metrotenerife.com/) and ten+movil.
New Year’s Eve, Thursday 31st
Line 1 will operate on the metropolitan area with double-trams and continuously from 06:00 am to 02:00 pm. During this day, the frequency will be of 15 minutes, from 6:00 am to 7.00 am, and then every 10 minutes.
Line 2 will run with frequencies of 10 minutes and 15 minutes, mainly. In this case, the service will finish at midnight.
New Year, Friday 1st
The tram network will start its service at 8:00 am. Line 1 will operate with simple trams, every 12 minutes, and Line 2 will do it every 15 minutes throughout the day.
Metrotenerife insists on the need to comply with the prevention requirements on public transport (to use face mask). Regarding trams, its air conditioning system allows to renew the total air of the trams every 3 minutes. Also, the automatic door opening at all stops contributes to reduce the risk of transmission of Covid-19.
