Tenerife Tram returns to night service this weekend

Metrotenerife, a company of the Island Government, resumes from the early morning of Friday to Saturday the weekend night service of Line 1 between 12:00 am and 06:00 am due to the improvement of the epidemiological situation by coronavirus on the island and the reactivation of nightlife in the metropolitan area. The frequencies will be 20 and 30 minutes in the early morning on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

The first vice-president of the Island Government and president of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, explains that “trams will run from Friday to Saturday every 30 minutes until 06:00 am and in the early hours from Saturday to Sunday, as well as on public holidays, the frequency will be 20 minutes, from 12:00 am to 01:00 am hours, and then every 30 minutes to 06:00 am. For the weekend days, Line 1 will operate with the usual daytime frequencies “.

The director of Mobility, José Alberto León, recalls that Metrotenerife maintains the daily cleaning and disinfection protocols in trams and stops and insists that the use of the mask is still mandatory in public transport.
