Metrotenerife, transport company of the Insular Government, activates its plan of special services for Christmas weekend due to the increase in commercial activity. In this regards, the trams of the Line 1 will offer, from 12:00 pm to 08:00 pm, frequencies of 8 minutes on Saturdays and 10 minutes on Sundays.
The President of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, points out that this measure responds to the increase in demand and to make it easier the transport for those people who make their Christmas purchases leaving the car at home.
As in previous years, the Metrotenerife Christmas Plan also includes special services for the days of Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and Wise Men’s Eve.
Saturdays and Sundays at Christmas
On Saturdays 11th and 18th December, the trams on Line 1 will work every 8 minutes from 12:00 pm to 08:00, while on Sundays 12th, 19th and 26th December and 2nd January, they will circulate with frequencies of 10 minutes. Apart from these reinforcements, trams will be in service throughout the weekend with the usual timetable.
