The Island Government, through Metrotenerife, and the Breast Cancer Association of Tenerife (Ámate) collaborate again in the awareness campaign ‘Prevention, the greatest gesture of love’, which during the month of October will show on tram service on the occasion of the World Breast Cancer Day (19th October). Since 2014 Metrotenerife has maintained its commitment to collaboration with Ámate.
Enrique Arriaga, first vice-president of the Island Government, and María del Carmen Bonfante Vargas, president of Ámate, presented this campaign, which was also attended of the island director of Mobility, José Alberto León; the head of events and the secretary of Ámate, María Ascensión Juan and Pilar Casus, respectively; and Tomás Martín, manager of Publiservic, the company that has collaborated in the management of the design, printing and logistics of posters at tram stops.
Arriaga explained that “Metrotenerife, through its Social Responsibility Plan, initially collaborates with the transfer of the advertising media of fifteen tram stops for the insertion of the campaign”. He also thanked the great work that Bonfante and her team do against breast cancer.” It is an important work that we, from the Public Administration, want to make visible. He also highlighted the role of Publiservic’s manager, Tomás Martín, who “has always been with us by supporting us with the posters and screen printing of the tram”.
