Metrotenerife, transport company of the Government of Tenerife, has planned to reinforce the tram service on the occasion of the celebration of the Christ of La Laguna, this Wednesday 14th. The tram service will maintain the working frequencies and timetable and, from 08:30 pm until midnight (12:00 am) it will have three extra trams. In addition, after the traditional fireworks, there will be three trams at La Trinidad stop. These vehicles will work when the all seat are occupied.
Enrique Arriaga, the President of Metrotenerife, stresses that “the tram is a good alternative to travel to La Laguna for its high passenger capacity and schedule for this special day in La Laguna. On Wednesday 14th, Line 1 will run with its normal frequencies on weekdays, every 5 minutes most of the day. From 08:30 pm, three extra trams will operate with the goal to offer an improved frequency throughout the night until the end of the service 12:00 am and after the fireworks we will have another three extra trams at La Trinidad stop to make easier the trips to Santa Cruz”.
