The Island Government through Metrotenerife, a company headed by Enrique Arriaga, begins the following week, from Monday 5th to Friday 9th, the second and last phase of the rails’ renovation at the Cruz de Piedra roundabout. Thus, the maintenance works will not affect the tram service and the traffic in this area.
Metrotenerife, in coordination with the La Laguna City Council, will signpost of some lanes near Cruz de Piedra to maintain the safety of workers and for material stock. The rails’ renovation will reduce the noise of trams running and improve the comfort of the service. The tram operator requests special attention to the drivers due to the works can produce slight traffic problems at the roundabout. Likewise, the company will watch over minimise the inconvenience that may be caused.
