Metrotenerife, transport company of the Government of Tenerife, has awarded InvICTUS as Best Short-Film in the II Film Competition ‘El Tranvía’ organized by the Association Cueva de Unicornios in the Cultural Center El Tranvía of La Cuesta. The short-film is directed by Keven González Machín, and played by Vicente Ayala, who also won the award for Best Actor.
The President of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, said that “the company has always been committed to generating and creating community. For years, we have maintained a close collaboration with the Cultural Center El Tranvía because of its link with our transport and because it keeps the last vestige of the tram of the twentieth century, the chimney of the old station that was in La Cuesta”. He adds that kind of competition is a stimulus for audiovisual creation that is developing in the Canary Islands.
The President of the Association Cueva de Unicornios, Lali Marcelino, highlighted the high and quality level of the works presented, and appreciated the commitment of the collaborators with this initiative.
The Cultural Center El Tranvía hosted the awards ceremony for the Best Short-Film of the II Film Competition ‘El Tranvía’, in which it also distinguished the best performance, direction and script, as well as special mentions.
