The Tenerife Tram transported the World Tourism Organization delegation that has visited the island these days from Santa Cruz to La Laguna, a World Heritage City. The entourage, composed of around thirty travel agents and journalists, was able to verify that the tram is a safe and reliable transport thanks to the sanitary measures that, under the direction of the Island Government, has been implemented in all vehicles and stops as protection guidelines against Covid-19.
The vice-president of the Island Government and president of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, accompanied the delegation and highlighted the daily cleaning and disinfection protocols on the tram service, as well as the adoption of other operational measures that have made possible for demand to reach values of 60%. Likewise, Arriaga presented the new tourist fares launched by the Island Government recently.
