Metrotenerife, company of the Island Government, actives on Friday 11th the weekend night service of the Line 1. That means that trams will again operate continuously between 12:00 am and 06:00 am, with frequencies of 20 and 30 minutes.
The vice-president of the Island Government and president of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, said that “due to the progressive relaxation of the restrictions by coronavirus, especially in the leisure and catering industry, the trams of the Line 1 resume the circulation in the early morning of the Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays”. Also he remembers that the tram service is already operating at one hundred percent of its passenger capacity and that the use of the face mask is still mandatory in public transport.
Weekend night time
LThe nights from Friday to Saturday there will be a tram every 30 minutes until 06:00 am and the nights from Saturday to Sundays and public holidays, the frequency will be 20 minutes, from 12:00 am to 01:00 am, and every 30 minutes to 06:00 am. When the night service ends, Line 1 will continue to work with daytime frequencies at the weekend.
